whispered interpretinga type of simultaneous interpreting which does not require any translation equipment. The interpreter follows what is said and translates by whispering into the ear of listeners. Chuchotage or whispered interpreting is only possible for one or two listeners. liaison interpretingoral translation where the interpreter helps two individuals of different languages communicate. Also known as bilateral interpreting. This type of translation is suitable for meetings with a fairly limited number of speakers. Liaison interpreting is a kind of consecutive interpreting
